Chair Caning shop in Boston, Massachusetts has been replacing, and restoring caned chairs in the Boston area for over 30 years.

Over the years, we've re-caned, repaired, and otherwise restored all types and styles of furniture. Our staff is made up of nine woodworking professionals who are skilled in all areas of restoration.

Chair caning is a method of weaving or affixing rattan peel to a piece of furniture. There are two basic types of caning — pressed cane and hand cane, along with a subtype of hand cane called blind or French cane. We specialize in all types. When the caning on a chair breaks, the entire panel needs to be replaced and cannot be repaired piecemeal.
